Bogova Waterfall and the Osumi Canyons are two of Albania’s most breathtaking natural wonders, located in the Berat region, in the central part of the country. Both sites offer stunning landscapes and unique outdoor experiences, making them popular destinations for nature lovers, hikers, and adventure enthusiasts.

Bogova Waterfall

Bogova Waterfall is located in the Bogas area, about 15 kilometers from the town of Çorovodë and 25 kilometers from the city of Berat. The waterfall is situated in a picturesque valley. It is one of Albania’s most beautiful waterfalls, known for its serene setting and crystal-clear water.

The waterfall cascades from a height of approximately 20 meters. The sound of the water falling into the pool below creates a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

 To reach the waterfall, visitors can enjoy a relatively easy hike through the forest. The pool at the base of the waterfall is perfect for a refreshing swim on hot days, and the surrounding landscape makes it a wonderful location for photography.

Osumi Canyons

The Osumi Canyons are a series of dramatic, deep gorges carved by the Osumi River. The canyons are one of the largest and most spectacular canyon systems in the Balkans, offering stunning natural views and a variety of outdoor activities.

The canyons are up to 50 meters deep in some sections and stretch over 26 kilometers. The canyon walls are steep, with sheer cliffs and rock formations, making the landscape appear both rugged and majestic.

Along the Osumi River, visitors can find several small waterfalls that add to the charm of the canyon. These waterfalls are particularly beautiful during the spring when the river is swollen with melted snow.
